Every year, our crew heads up to an orchard in Virginia to climb up wooden ladders and handpick the tart, Montmorency cherries for our Kriek-Style Lambic. The base for this beer is our Gueuze that has already been aging in Oak barrels for two years. We then
load up the barrels with more than 200 pounds of tart cherries and allow the beer to age for another 18 months. The result is a slightly funky beer with a strong cherry aroma but not too much sweetness.
