2018 is the Year of Transition for Natty Greene’s Brewing Company. Five months ago, the company opened its second restaurant in Greensboro, The Kitchen + Market, on Revolution Mill’s campus. Shortly after, co-founder Kayne Fisher, confirmed that the brewery would also be moving to Revolution Mill in the near future.
Natty Greene’s will be moving its production brewing operation to the Olympic Site at Revolution Mill in early fall 2018. The new brewery will include a tasting room, private space, beer garden and live music venue.
While Natty Greene’s is preparing its current production facility on Gate City Blvd for sale, they have partnered with Tap Hopper Canning to can their seasonal and rotating styles. Natty Greene’s first can was released this January - 16 ounce 4-pack of Natty Greene’s Buckshot Amber Ale. The brewery will release Mt Mitchell Single Hop IPA in 12-ounce 6-pack cans for distribution on and off premise across North Carolina this spring.
“Through our partnership with Foothills and Tap Hopper Canning, we can finally start to play with new styles and new packaging [cans],” said Kayne Fisher. “We are calling 2018 our Year of Transition but all of this truly started when we opened the doors to the Kitchen + Market last July.”
“Tap Hopper Canning is excited to announce a new partnership with Natty Greene’s Brewing Company,” said Patrick Sanecki, co-owner of Tap Hopper Tours, LLC. “We have signed a service contract for the canning and packaging of Natty Greene’s seasonal and special release beers throughout the year. This agreement is non-exclusive, and Tap Hopper Canning is looking to expand its service contract and canning opportunities with other North Carolina breweries.”
